biography

My name is Amr Hassan I got my Bachelor degree from Marine Engineering Department in 1990 from AASTMT, Then I did my Master degree in Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University in 1994, Then I did my PhD at University of Nottingham, Uk 2002, I become Associate Professor in 2006, then Professor in 2010. I become head of Marine Engineering Department 2008 till 2015 and now I am Dean of College of Engineering & Technology from 2015 till present. I am interesting in Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

The Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) of the Ministry of State for Scientific Research has approved on a research grant of L.E 9 million for supporting the establishment of a Research Center of Scientific Excellence specialized in Computational Neurovascular Biomechanics during the next two years, where this center will be the first research center of its kind in the Middle East and the Arab world, and this financial support is funded by STDF which is a government program that support the establishment of Centers of Scientific Excellence, as it’s worth to mention that the new center is initiated by the following 3 Scientists from Alexandria University and AASTMT: 1- Prof. Dr. Tamer Hassan Shehata - Professor of Neurosurgery - Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine. 2- Prof. Dr. Amr Ali Hassan - Head of Marine Engineering Department - AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology. 3- Dr. Khaled Mohi ElDeen Saqr - AASTMT Mechanical Engineering Department - Visiting Lecturer.
