biography

Dr. Elhakeem research work involves the use of computational intelligence tools to support efficiently owner/designer/contractors’ decisions on high risk and constrained projects. The research focuses on utilizing recent advances of computational tools to optimize construction operations, improve work productivity, and solve complex problems. Along with this focus is the simplification of the underlying advanced concepts through the use of customary computer platforms, such as spreadsheets, to broaden the applicability of such concepts in the industry. My recent research interests vary from Asset/Infrastructure Management, Integrated Desert Building Technologies, Sustainable / Environment-Friendly Building Design to Resource Utilization in Construction Companies, with great focus on better visualization and lifecycle cost analysis, simulation and optimization.
