Biography

  • -Dr Mona Fouad Moussa has graduated from Alexandria University of Egypt in July 1998, where she started her career by working in industry and managed many projects. Since 2004, she was appointed to work in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) till present. She got her PhD from Alexandria University of Egypt in 2008. She is now an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering of the AASTMT since 2012. Currently, she is the head of Engineering Departments in the college of Engineering and Technology in the campus of the AASTMT in Smart Village. She speaks besides the Arabic, her mother tongue language, good English and French. Dr Mona F. Moussa is a Member in the IEEE and is a consultant with many Industrial Companies. She is a peer reviewer in many transactions, periodicals and conferences, and was an invited Speaker to many international conferences and workshops. She was the Organizer of the ‘Development of Clean Energy Resources’, workshop in May 2012 and the ‘Future of Hybrid Technology for Automotive Application’, workshop sponsored by IEEE, IET and NSF in the AASTMT, Egypt, in January 2011. She is a member in many research grants from National and international funds such as Technology, Innovation and Commercialization Office (TICO), funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) of the Egyptian Ministry of Scientific Research. Also, a member in the AASTMT team of an ErAfrica project funded by the European Union entitled, 'Development of an advanced high-efficient low-cost power-generation with minimum carbon emission from hybrid-fuel supplies', May 2014 - April 2017, for 980,000 Euro, and the member in the AASTMT team of a TEMPUS project funded by the European Union entitled, 'Highway and Traffic Engineering: Curricular Reform for Mediterranean Area', 2013-2016, for 1.3 Million Euro, and a member in TEMPUS project, ’Clean Energy and Research in Environmental Studies (CERES). She supervised many PG thesis and has published about 20 research papers. Her experience in quality management system (QMS) in education includes being a Quality Coordinator for the implementation of ISO 9000 standard, ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) and NAQUAA (National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation) in College of Engineering and Technology in the main Campus of the AASTMT in Alexandria.
