Ahmed Ghazal is an assistant professor at the Media Management department in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. He was awarded a PhD in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2018. He has an extensive filmography, including having directed Bey oulo (2011), winner of the Tropfest Arabia Short Film Festival. His book, Egyptian Cinema and the 2011 Revolution: Film Production and Representing Dissent was published by I.B Tauris – Bloomsbury in 2020.
