Biography

  • Dr. Nashwa El-Bendary received her M.Sc. degree in 2004 and Ph.D. degree in 2008, both in Information Technology from the Faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo University, Egypt. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Cairo, Egypt. She has published several papers in major international journals and peer-reviewed international conference proceedings. Her main research interests are in the areas of ambient intelligent environments and smart systems, body sensor networks and intelligent health monitoring, smart environments monitoring, routing and security in wireless sensor networks and mobile ad hoc networks, Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics. She currently co-advises a number of master and PhD students as well as leading and supervising various graduation projects. Dr. Nashwa is a member of the editorial boards of a number of International Journals. She has also been a reviewer, technical program committee member, local arrangement committee member, special session co-chair, and has been invited as a speaker to several workshops and international conferences.
