Samir Y. Marzouk received her B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the Physics Department at Menoufia University in 1990, 1993 and 1999 respectively. He is currently a professor of solid state physics at basic and applied science department, faculty of engineering, at Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. Along his career, he was a technical reviewer and editorial board member for several international journals and conferences. He published over 120 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles in the areas of solid state physics, Nano-materials science, semiconductor materials, amorphous, transparent material and optical laser materials. He has two patents in optical glass materials.
