biography

Prof Dr. Mohamed Hassan obtained his M.Sc and B.Sc with distinction from the Military Technical College (MTC), he then enrolled and obtained his PhD from the University of Kent in the UK. Dr Mohamed was promoted to associate professor in 2006, and to full professor in 2013. Dr Mohamed has a long history of academic excellence in research, teaching and administrative roles. He has supervised numerous PhD and MSc dissertations both inside and outside the AASTMT. He was the vice dean of student affairs in the AASTMT Cairo branch for eight years during which he oversaw significant developments in the student activities in college, and was the vice dean for educational affairs in the college of engineering, Cairo Branch, Sheraton overseeing all academic activities in the branch, including, but not limited to, development of new academic programs, oversight of accreditation initiatives both nationally and internationally in addition to the day to day running of the education process in college. He is currently the Dean of College of Engineering South Valley branch
