Dr. Mashhour is an Associate Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the Department of Construction and Building Engineering. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from Cairo University in 2006, and he received his M.A.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Concordia University, in years 2009 and 2016 respectively. He is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng) in Alberta, Canada and he provided geotechnical engineering consultation to several projects in Egypt, Canada and other Countries in the Middle East. He is experienced in soil testing, data analysis, foundation and shoring systems design and computer modeling for various geotechnical applications. He published articles in reputable geotechnical journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Mashhour has joined the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, as a faculty member in September 2016. His research focuses on areas such as: pile design, problematic soils, slope stability and unsaturated soil mechanics.
