biography

Dr. Mohi Eldin Mohamed Elsayeh is a Professor of Port Economics and Operation Management. He is currently the Dean of the College of Maritime Transport & Technology and the Director of the Technical Office for Maritime Transport Affairs, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). He has previously worked as Merchant marine officer on board General cargo and container vessels, United Arab Shipping Co. (UASC) – UAE, and on board Bulk carriers, National Navigation Co. (NNC) – Egypt. Dr. El Sayeh holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Port Economics and Operation Management from the University of Huddersfield – United Kingdom. He earned his Master of Science "MSc" in Maritime Affairs – ‘Port Management’ from World Maritime University (WMU) – Malmo – Sweden and has got his Bachelor degree in Nautical Science and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology & Maritime Transport – Alexandria -Egypt. In addition, Dr. El Sayeh has earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Fleet Operation and Safety System, and Master Mariner (Certificate of Competency). Dr. El Sayeh has participated in a number of academic activities, seminars, workshops, international field studies and research projects, and has published research papers in various international conferences and journals. Additionally, he has supervised a number of undergraduate and post graduate research projects. Finally, he has a number of professional affiliations; International Association of Maritime Lecturers (IMLA), Arab Association for Navigation, The Arab African Association for Logistics and Transport, Arab Association for Maritime Trade & Development, and The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport - UK.
