Tamer Farouk Badran received the B.Sc. degree with honors and M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt, in July 2004 and July 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science, telecommunications, and electronics engineering from Sorbonne University (Pierre and Marie Curie campus), Paris, France, in June 2020. From 2004 to 2009, he was an instructor with the department of electrical engineering, Assiut university, where in August 2008, he was promoted to Assistant Lecturer. From February 2009 to February 2013, he was an Assistant Lecturer with the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. From March 2013 to March 2020 he was a Teaching and Research Assistant with the Computer Science, Telecommunications, and Electronics Engineering department, Sorbonne University during his Ph.D. studies. From July 2020 to present, he is an Assistant Professor with the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria, Egypt. His research and teaching interests are in Mixed-Signal Circuit Design, Reconfigurable IC Design, and Machine Learning.
