HossamEldin Bakr is a senior lecturer in College of Maritime Transport and Technology, Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) since 2017. He started his academic career as a junior lecturer in 2011 in the same organization after a long service onboard merchant vessels starting from 2nd mate in 2000 till ending his seafarer career as shipmaster in 2011 and diverted to the academic career. Presently he is the Head of special courses & simulators department, College of Maritime Transport and Technology (AASTMT). During his maritime adventures as a seafarer, he received a long experience in the maritime transport industry in-addition to several certificates as B.Sc. Degree in Maritime Transport (Navigation Technology), (January 2010), Master Mariner certificate (JULY 2006), Chief Mate certificate (JANUARY 2003), 2nd Mate certificate (JULY 2000) from AASTMT. In his academic career, he completed his Master degree of science in Maritime Affairs, Specialization: Port Management from the World Maritime University (WMU), Malmo, Sweden (NOVEMBER 2016), completed several specialized courses as Certificate of competence in training Level 1: introduction to Eco Ports Tools, PPP (Public - Privet Partnership) Awareness certificate (UN ESCAP), participated in International Field studies and projects as researches & field studies to European ports (Malmo -Goteborg - Gutenberg - Helsingborg) - Sweden. (Copenhagen) - Denmark. (Gdansk) - Poland. (Hamburg) - Germany, and research projects with Erasmus Plus.
