I am Amr Moneer Ibrahim, a senior lecturer with expertise in Maritime Education and Training (MET). Currently the Director of Marine and Offshore Training Centre (MOTC) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Cairo, Egypt. Over the course of my career, I have 24 years of experience in the maritime field as a merchant marine officer on board gas and crude oil carriers, a maritime lecturer, and a Simulator Trainer. I hold a Master Mariner Certificate, in addition to an MSc and a PhD degree in MET. My research area revolves mainly around MET and Marine Simulators. I have taken pride in being directly involved in all AASTMT activities in the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) since 2015, especially as the coordinator of IAMU student conferences. As an active member of the AASTMT, I stay abreast of the latest developments in MET. I have had the privilege of contributing to numerous global conferences. As I continue to navigate the dynamic landscape of the maritime Industry, I am excited about the sustainable development of MET and how new technologies are swiftly being adopted in the domain. My goal is to continue research in the field, and I am committed to contributing meaningfully to all its scientific aspects.
