Energy Conservation Unit
(isc) established a special unit for Energy Conservation in industry and service firms. The unit exchange and distribute information related to energy usage, audit and efficiency in many commercial and industrial applications.
The unit also portrays policy making and assist in the determination of procedures for improvement of energy consumption taking into considerations international expertise in similar fields. Energy economic analysis and cost reduction studies are also among the main activities this unit is performing.
The unit applies energy audit programs, energy conservation studies and procedures in the following fields:
Business Plans Unit
The business plans unit within the (isc) helps industrial and service companies to build capacity in performing detailed professional business plans.
A detailed business plan helps any firm to visualize the future, improve competitiveness, and anticipate potential growth and sources of funding.
Marketing Plans Unit
(isc) assist industrial firms, business entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises establishing reliable and professionally designed marketing plans.

Reverse Engineering Unit
Reverse Engineering (RE) is the process of discovering the technological principles of a device or object or system starting from material identification including composition and properties, and analysis of its structure, function and operation.
Generally, Reverse Engineering is followed by analysis of the product descriptions and specifications such as dimensions and tolerances which will be fed into manufacturing processes. A final inspection of the product produced, is then, takes place.
(RE) often involves taking a mechanical device or component apart and analyzing its working conditions in detail, usually to make a new device or that does the same thing without copying anything from the original.
Reverse Engineering has become a viable method to create a 3D virtual model of an existing physical part for use in 3D CAD, CAM, CAE and other software. The reverse engineering process involves measuring an object and then reconstructing it as a 3D model. The physical object can be measured using 3D scanning technologies like CMMs. The measured data alone, usually represented as a point cloud, lacks topological information and is therefore often processed and modeled into a more usable format or a CAD model.
The reverse engineering lab in the center contains up-to-date precision measuring facilities which perform and apply RE techniques to generate technical data necessary for redesign, reproducing and remanufacturing of different forms of complex parts and objects.
Project Scheduling Unit
The Project Management profession is getting more and more popular by the day. Successful companies and organizations use project management to improve and sustain breakthrough performance. Project management has become an integral part of doing business in industries such as manufacturing, information technology, banking, maritime and construction, and is virtually present in all other industries.
In Egypt, demand for project management education and training has increased greatly over the past few years. The number of certified project managers in Egypt through international certification bodies such as the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the International Project Management Association (IPMA) has increased exponentially, and is estimated to be in thousands. Nevertheless, the demand for project management training in Alexandria is evolving and is expected to grow in the next few years.
(isc) established a training and research unit for project scheduling within project management related issues to serve industry and business community. The Unit provides courses that are designed to prepare participants to enter the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam. Such courses also provide the essential knowledge in project management to the participants that would assist them to manage projects in their respective organizations in a more efficient and effective manner.
