Computerized CNC Machine

Computerized 3D metal cutting and forming machines represent an important element in modern industries for providing high production accuracy and speed in implementation. Because of the high-cost of the machines, it was a major obstacle towards the development of national industries. And since the main reason for this high-cost is because of the advanced technology that operates with, and not the price of raw materials used. Hence, in the process of applying the principle of technology localization and providing a high-tech average-priced national product. a team from the Technical and Vocational studies Institute in the Arab Academy for Science and Technology designed and manufactured a CNC machine made of transparent acrylic material which runs by three electric motors “Stepper motor” and its operation is controlled through an electronic system and computer program package, where the cost of the Egyptian product is equal 5% of the price of the foreign product.
