The presence of a tool for bending pipes inside metal forming workshops in considered a key element and an important element for the manufacture of an integrated product. This key role increase in furniture manufacturing and metal processing workshops where they don’t offer the speed of formation nor the quality of the product. Whereas pipes’ benders available in the Egyptian market were only foreign-made products, they had a high price, thus affecting the possibility of using them in small workshops and specially small-scale industries. Therefore a pipe bending mechanism has been designed and produced for industrial uses operating by an electric engine with a capacity of 125 watts, which enables it to bend metal pipes with a power of 7 tons and with a double speed as those imported from abroad which is manually operated. The cost of the automatic Egyptian doesn’t exceed 20% of the cost of imported product, which works manually.   | Point of Comparison | Foreign product | Egyptian product | | Country of design and manufacture | Romania |  Egypt | | Price | 4500 EGP | 600 EGP | | Operating means | Manual | Automatic | | Controlling bending angle | Manual | Automatic using a central processr | | Bending intervals | 120 seconds | 60 seconds | | Maximum bending strength | 5 tons | 7.5 tons | | Loading indicator | No | Electric indicator | | Overload protection | No | Automatic |
