Overview
The Maritime Research and Consultation Center was established in 1984 in the framework of the organizational structure of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport as a non-profit making organization to serve the maritime transport sector in Egypt and Arab countries. Research StaffMRCC supported by Fifty tenured researchers & consultants of whom, 7 are Ph. D. holders and 8 are M.Sc holders. Furthermore, the center is supported by expertises and consultants from the Faculty staff in the Academy, Alexandria University in addition to the remarkable expertise from the maritime transport sector and companies working in the relevant fields. Major Administrative EntitiesThe following bodies supervise the management of the center:
Board of DirectorsHis Excellency, the Egyptian Minister of Transport, chairs the Board of Directors, which includes the chairmen of twenty-nine port authorities, Maritime companies, and professional consultants in the transport industry from Arab Republic of Egypt and Democratic Republic of Sudan.
