New Multi-Purpose Terminal Berths 62-55 in Alexandria Port.Client: General Authority of Alexandria ports. Location: Alexandria - Egypt End Date: July 2017 Description: The government of Egypt has received an EPC offer for the construction of a new multi-purpose terminal in Alexandria. The total terminal area is approximately 56 hectares with a reclamation and ground improvement of land approximately 41 hectares. The terminal will contain the following berths including all facilities and equipment for a proper functioning terminal: • Container terminals (Berth Nos. 55, 56, 57) with a total berth length of 950m and water depth of 17.0 m to accommodate vessels of 170,000DWT. • Container terminals (Berth Nos. 59, 60) with a total berth length of 610m and water depth of 14.0 m. Quay structure shall be constructed for 50,000DWT vessel maximum. • Non-container terminals (Berth Nos. 61, 62) with a total berth length of 410m and water depth of 14.0 m to accommodate one 60,000DWT dry bulk vessel and one 10,000 DWT cargo vessel maximum. Type and scope of services provided: • Review on quay wall structure. • Commercial review of the schedule of rates / BOQ. • Equipment review. • Reviewing contractual comments of the contractor. • Contract review. • Negotiation. • Traffic study.
