Former Deans

  1. Graduated from College of Engineering, Cairo University. Holds a PhD in Mechanical Control Engineering from Cairo University.
  2. Early in his career he worked as a researcher and a technical manager for the project of designing directed torpedoes, and then he worked as the manager of the technical research center of the Egyptian Navy Forces for about 12 years.
  3. He worked as a professor of Automatic Control Engineering at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport for 10 years.
  4. He had a long time high level gradation started as Dean of faculty of engineering at the Arab Academy.
  5. He worked as a Dean of Maritime Research and Consultation Center, MRCC for about 13 years from 1984 till 1997.
  6. Professor/ Ahmed Ma`amon is a stand out member in many local and international scientific communities and authorities, he is a Fellow of the Society of Marine Engineers in the United Kingdom and member of the Society of British Engineers-Egypt branch. Also he is a Fellow of the Egyptian Mechanical Engineers Society and a member of the Egyptian Operational Research Society, and finally he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Society for Design and Technology.
  7. He resolved the Design of ship machines simulator, and was the chief of a research team for the manufacturing of railway training simulator.
  8. The professor had an undeniable role and contributions in many conferences, seminars and workshops in addition to presenting many research papers.
  1. Graduated from Faculty of Engineering major Marine Engineering and Ship Architecture, Alexandria University.
  2. He holds a PhD in Ship Building and Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Engineering – Glasco University- UK.
  3. He worked as a mechanical engineer at Suez Canal Authority and also worked as engineer supervisor for heavy floating lifting units.
  4. He had a long time high level gradation started as chief of engineering studies at the Arab Academy, then as a chief of Technical marine training institution; known now as (Institute of Technical Studies), then as Dean of Port Training Institute, then vice president of the Arab Academy for technical studies and maritime transport research.
  5. He worked as the Dean of Maritime Research and Consultation Center, MRCC, from 1997 till 2008.
  6. Professor/ Ahmed Ma`amon is a stand out member in many local and international scientific communities and authorities, he is a Fellow of the Society of Marine Engineers in the United Kingdom and member of the Society of British Engineers-Egypt branch. Also he is a Fellow of the Egyptian Mechanical Engineers Society and a member of the Egyptian Operational Research Society, and finally he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Society for Design and Technology.
  7. He was the director of many projects:
  8. establishing East Port Said Port in cooperation with the German house of expertise (Inros – Lackner IL),
  9. Feasibility Studies for establishing East Port Said Port and the coordinator with Halcrow Ltd in conducting studies in that field in behalf of the Egyptian Maritime Transport Sector.
  10. Feasibility Study of developing Damietta port container terminal in cooperation with the Dutch house of expertise NEDECO.
  11. Preparing TOR of establishing Sokhna Port.
  12. Developing the Egyptian ports and enhancing their efficiency, in cooperation with the German house of expertise HPC.
  13. A member of the Steering committee of the Egyptian Maritime Data Bank (EMDB).
  14. The professor had an undeniable role and contributions in many conferences, seminars and workshops in addition to presenting many research papers.
  1. Ahmed Mohamed Amin holds PhD From Glasgow University - UK 1986,.
  2. He is a Professor at College of Engineering - Suez Canal University.
  3. He works as Consultant Engineer in the field of Port, Dredging Surveying and Construction Management. Involved in more than 150 projects in the areas of Maritime Developments, petrol and water pipelines, electrical and microwave power lines, Irrigation projects and the monitoring of settlement of large structures.
  4. Since 2014 he had been Consultant at Ministry Transport – maritime Sector till 2015
  5. He worked as Dean of Maritime Research & Consultation Center – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport from 2008 till 2013.
  6. He worked as Vice Dean for Community Services at Port Said College of Engineering since 2002 and also he was a Director for Research and Consultation Center - Port Said College of Engineering.
