FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding

The FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding is one of the leading training programs in the field of transport and particularly freight forwarding.
The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) based in Zurich, Switzerland is the world umbrella body of the freight forwarding industry. Within FIATA, a specialised body known as the Advisory Body Vocational Training (ABVT), has consistently worked to build up a solid reputation as a major contributor to the development of vocational training in the freight forwarding industry.
In carrying out this objective the ABVT has developed a set of minimum criteria for the award of a qualification known as the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. This diploma offers learners practical knowledge in the field of transportation and freight forwarding.
The FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding is designed, administered and delivered by the Egyptian International Freight Forwarding Association (EIFFA) and The College of International Transport and Logistics through its LTTC.  It is the first international freight training diploma being offered to people in full-time employment and undergraduate/postgraduate students.
The FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding started in Egypt in January 2009 and now there are 135 holders of the FIATA Diploma in Egypt. A growing number of trainees are presently enrolled in the FIATA Diploma in both Alexandria and Cairo at the College of International Transport and Logistics (CITL).
The FIATA diploma consists of fifteen modules which cover different specialized topics such as the freight forwarding business, road transport, supply chains security and more.
Instructors delivering the FIATA diploma are mainly practitioners in the field of transport and logistics in Egypt, which renders the FIATA diploma very valuable to both undergraduate students who can learn about the business insights before graduating, and to practitioners who get the chance to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field.
The success of the FIATA diploma in Egypt has further expanded the vision of LTTC in considering future expansion plans to offer the diploma to other Arab countries such as Qatar to fulfill LTTC’s mission in spreading professional knowledge and education to the Arab world.
