Ethics of Journalism Course

The course practically and intensively aims at introducing learners to the required skills and professional code of ethics to master the field of journalism. During the course, learners will be taught how to identify and distinguish between different types of journalistic writing and how to avoid mistakes with writing news and opinions with reference to such core principles as Truth and Accuracy as well as Fairness and Impartiality, which help learners to get to the facts right while still maintaining their independent voices. Through five weeks of thirty hours of effective field practice, learners analyze published news and formulate ideas for journalistic reports, rephrase catchy journalistic titles and apply the basics of using the Internet to journalism.
