Who are we?

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is a Registered Centre for the University of London International Programmes

 

A registered centre: demonstrates commitment to developing high standards in respect of teaching, support to students and administrative processes.

 

Who is legible to apply?

Ambitious, skilled, hard-working students from different backgrounds can apply the national system, IGCSE, American Diploma, IB and Bac Français, given that the students satisfies high grades in their high school, as well as passing the placement exam.

Years of Studying:

Minimum 4 years for A-level students or the equivalent. OL students receive the degree over a minimum of 5 years.

Programmes provided:

Students registering through our centre have the opportunity to receive two bachelor degrees that are distinct from each other. (access the hyperlinks below for more information about the degree structure and courses).

First, degrees or certificates from UoL in

-       BSc in Economics and Management – degree

-       BSc in Banking and Finance – degree

-       BSc in Business and Management – degree

-       Social Sciences (CertHE) – certificate

 

Second a degree from AAST:

 

-       Bachelor in Marketing and International Business

-       Bachelor in Accounting and Finance

Application process:

Application process starts yearly from early February until late August, students register in the programme after obtaining a high school secondary certificate accredited by the Ministry of Education in Egypt, passing a placement exam in mathematics (Sample exam is available through: http://www.aast.edu/en/colleges/cmt_heliopolis/ ), sitting for a personal interview set by AAST, in addition to obtaining an English language proficiency score in line with University of London requirements

Fees:

Tuition is divided into three parts AAST tuition fees are announced annually on AAST website and through its admission office examination center fees (British Council) UoL fees, which are updated annually through the following link:

Can I travel abroad to continue my studies outside?

Students have the opportunity to transfer to a UK university, including LSE, after finishing the first 4 units of their degree (normally one year of UoL programmes, but two years at AAST in the parallel degree programme), conditional on their academic achievement and each university’s regulation. http://www.lse.ac.uk/study/UOLIP/transfer_change.aspx
