COVID-19 Procedures for the Faculty Members and the Teaching Staff  (ON Campus)

1-      Gates of Building (E), College of Computing, College of International Transport (F), and Engineering Building (G) are used for the entry and exit of students, faculty members and staff, and the two small gates located next to the elevators of Building (G) are used for exit only, while other gates have to be closed.

2-      It’s mandatory to wear mask/face shield all the time in the classroom / lab / workshop / corridors.

3-      It is forbidden to allow any student to enter the classroom / lab/ workshop if he does not wear a mask/face shield.

4-      Ensure that the classroom is well ventilated, by opening the classroom door and windows.

5-      Each faculty member must use his tools, which will be provided through each educational department.

6-      Emphasis on preventing the circulation of personal tools among students during the lesson.

7-      Avoid shaking hands with any individual (student - co-worker - etc.) inside the college, with the necessity of washing hands or using hand sanitizers periodically throughout the day.

8-      Student’s attendance must be taken orally and recorded in the attendance sheet of each faculty member, while refraining from distributing any papers to students in the classroom to limit contact.

9-      Follow-up on the attendance of students periodically, provided that the rules of withdrawal warning and compulsory withdrawal are applied in the absence of acceptable excuses by the students.

10-  Do not allow students to enter or leave during the class except for the utmost necessity, with the need to sanitize their hands before entering.

11-  In case of any student is suspected of being ill, the student’s educational department must be informed to take all preventive measures until he is directed to the isolation area.

12-  All educational materials for each course must be loaded on the official database (Moodle), and students should not be handed over any printed notes during the class nor direct students to make copies through service centers because they be will closed.

13-  Ensure that students do not gather after the end of the class period, provided that their exit is organized.

14-  It is forbidden to welcome students in offices to answer their inquiries about the course, provided that coordination is made with them to hold office hours (not less than two hours every week) after the end of the school day through the Zoom program integrated with a database.)  

15-  Ensure that not to exceed the time allotted for the end of the class period so necessary sterilization operations can be carried on in the periods between lectures.

16-  The necessity of the presence of faculty members in the college during the practical sessions.

17-  Continuous assessment of students should be done by submitting assignments periodically throughout the semester, with the need to emphasize the use of electronic books available on a database Data (Kortext), as well as books and references available in the electronic library on the Academy's website through (Student Portal).

 

COVID -19 Procedures for Faculty Members and the Assistant Staff (Online)

1-      It is necessary to stick to announced time table of lectures and tutorials as announced on College schedule.

2-      All educational materials for courses must be loaded on the official database (Moodle) periodically after the end of each lecture.

3-      Each faculty member must hold weekly lectures/tutorials with students on Zoom program, which is integrated into the Moodle database, not just settle for loading educational material only.

4-      Each faculty member must coordinate with students to schedule office hours (no less than two hours each week) to answer their inquiries, through the Zoom program integrated with the database.

5-      Follow-up the attendance of students periodically, provided that the rules of withdrawal warning and compulsory withdrawal are applied in the absence of acceptable excuses by the students.

6-      The necessity of preventing students who are not registered in the course from attending lectures/tutorials held on the (Zoom) program, while allowing the attendance of students who have exceptional cases registered and approved by the College Dean.

7-      Continuous assessment of students should be done by submitting assignments periodically throughout the semester with the need to emphasize the use of electronic books available on the database (Kortext), as well as books and references available in the electronic library located on the Academy’s website through (Student Portal).

8-      It is strictly forbidden to combine lectures/tutorials online, provided that the faculty member attends each class, whether it is a lecture or tutorial, as announced in his academic schedule.

9-  Moodle is the main platform for downloading the scientific material, with the necessity of having an alternative plan to download the scientific material through Google Classroom in the event of any deficiencies in the Moodle platform.

 

COVID-19 Procedures for Technicians / Trainers of Laboratories (ON Campus)

1-      Gates of Building (E), College of Computing, College of International Transport (F), and Engineering Building (G) are used for the entry and exit of students, faculty members and staff, and the two small gates located next to the elevators of Building (G) are used for exit only, while other gates have to be closed.

2-      It’s mandatory to wear mask/face shield all the time in the classroom / lab / workshop / corridors.

3-      It is forbidden to allow any student to enter the lab/workshop if he does not wear a mask/face shield.

4-      The necessity of ensuring that students are committed to wearing masks / face shields during the practical lessons, provided that they are provided with the plastic gloves available in each laboratory / workshop at the moment of their entry to limit the spread of the epidemic.

5-      Ensure that the laboratory/workshop is well ventilated, by opening doors and windows, with the necessity of closing all air-conditioning devices.

6-      It is forbidden to keep used tools in the lab/workshop, with the need to ensure that each faculty member uses his or her own tools, and that he does not leave them in the lab/workshop after the end of the practical session.

7-      Follow up on the process of sterilizing tables and chairs after the end of the practical session, taking care not to spray disinfectants on electrical devices/computers/machines, as not to be damaged.

8-      Avoid shaking hands with any individual (student - co-worker … etc.) inside the college, with the necessity of washing hands or using hand sanitizers periodically throughout the day.

9-      Do not allow students to enter or leave during the class except for the utmost necessity, with the need to sanitize hands before entering and wear plastic gloves again.

10-  If any of the students is suspected of being ill, the student’s educational department must be informed to take all preventive measures until he is directed to the isolation area.

11-  Ensure that students do not gather inside the lab/workshop after completing the practical session, provided that their exit is organized.

12- Helping to reduce student gatherings on the corridors near to the lab/workshop by directing students to exit the college building.

 

COVID -19 procedures for Administrative Staff (ON Campus)

1-      Gates of Building (E), College of Computing, College of International Transport (F), and Engineering Building (G) are used for the entry and exit of students, faculty members and staff, and the two small gates located next to the elevators of Building (G) are used for exit only, while other gates have to be closed.

2-      It’s mandatory to wear mask/face shield all the time in the classroom / lab / workshop / corridors.

3-      Do not allow any student who does not wear a mask/face shield to enter the office.

4-      Ensure that the office is well ventilated, by opening doors and windows, with the necessity of closing all air conditioning devices.

5-      Follow-up on the process of sterilizing the tables and chairs in the office, taking care not to spray disinfectants on the computer, so that it does not suffer any damage.

6-      Avoid shaking hands with any individual (student - co-worker - etc.) inside the college, with the necessity of washing hands or using hand sanitizers periodically throughout the working day.

7-      In case of any visitor is suspected of being ill, the responsibility center must be informed to take all preventive measures until he is directed to the isolation area.

8-      Reducing the use of paper publications while increasing reliance on technology in the provision of administrative services.

9-  Helping reduce student gatherings on the corridors adjacent to the office, by directing students to exit the college building. 

 

COVID -19 procedures for Students (ON Campus)

1-      Student entry to the college is only through gate of Building (E) and the gate of the seventh building (G), (As for Exit is only through the gate of Building A (facing the student car park and the two small gates. Those who are next to the elevators of Building (G.)

2-      Any student who does not wear a mask / face shield will not be allowed to enter from the college gates, he can go to the library located in the College of Computing building to buy a mask/ face shield.

3-      The student’s temperature will be measured (quickly) upon entering the college by the gates officials, as well as random temperature measurement for students in the library or cafeterias (supervised by the activity supervisors). In case of detecting any student suffering from high fever, he will be directed to the clinic for a medical examination.

4-      It’s mandatory to wear mask/face shield all the time while in the classrooms – laboratories, workshops, corridors or any place inside the College buildings and University campuses, and whoever violates this will be applied the fine prescribed by the Deanery of Student Affairs, with the aid of the supervisors of the cultural activity and Social Work Deanery of Student Affairs.

5-      All students are required to wear plastic gloves inside the laboratories, which will be provided by a technicians in each lab.

6-      Avoid shaking hands with anyone inside the college, with the necessity of washing hands or using hand sanitizers, which you will find available outside the laboratories and on the college corridors periodically throughout the day.

7-      It’s totally forbidden to exchange personal tools (calculator, papers, pens, etc.) during the lesson.

8-      It is prohibited to use elevators for students in all college buildings, with the exception of students with special needs. (Private and a maximum of three people in the elevator).

9-      Suspending all photocopy centers for students, and increasing reliance on technology in the provision of educational services.

10-  The need to adhere to a safe physical distance of at least one meter between people, and it is forbidden to be on the college corridors after the end of classes, as it is necessary to leave directly.

11-  It is absolutely forbidden to use air conditioners in teaching places as natural ventilation is required, such as opening windows, doors, or ventilation units.

12-  Entry or exit during the study session is forbidden, except for the utmost necessity, with the necessity of purification hands before entering.

13-  In case of you feel any symptoms of the disease, you must inform the faculty member, who will in turn will inform the educational department to which the student belongs to take all preventive measures until he is directed to an area insulation.

14-  It is forbidden to go to the faculty members offices to inquire about any questions related to the course. Faculty members will announce their office hours using Zoom program (not integrated with Moodle database).

15-  Commitment to use personal tools and to wear a mask when praying in the mosque.

16- The necessity of using the e-books available on the database (Kortext), as well as books and the references available in the electronic library on the Academy’s website through (Student Portal).
