    “The program outcomes selected by the Marine Engineering Program faculty correspond to the ABET (a)-(k) criterion and are delineated below. Program outcomes (l), (m), (n) , and (o) were added by the faculty to reflect recent global issues in the field ”

    1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
    2. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
    3. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and
    4. ustainability
    5. An ability to function on multi-disciplinary team and provide leadership to teams and organizations
    6. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems and develop practical solutions
    7. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
    8. An ability  for effective oral, graphic and written communications

    Special for marine Engineer

    1. An ability to apply probability and statistical methods to naval architecture, marine and offshore engineering problems.
    2. An ability to understand, follow, and apply regulations, rules, guidelines issued by ship classification societies, offshore industry bodies, national and international authorities
    3. An ability to appreciate, implement, and apply environmental issues related to marine and offshore engineering
    4. An ability to understand , follow, and apply risk assessment and disaster reduction strategies in the marine and offshore engineering systems.
