The TWAS-AAS-Microsoft 2011 young scientist award goes to College
Prof. Dr. Mohamad Abou El-Nasr received the TWAS-AAS-Microsoft 2011 young scientist award for his contributions in the field of computer communications and networking, particularly in the area of Body Area Networks and their use in e-Health systems. The award, established by the Third World Academy of Science (TWAS) and the African Academy of Science (AAS) is funded by Microsoft Research and it recognizes outstanding research in computer sciences conducted by African scientists that has - or promises to have - an impact in the developing world. Three winners were selected from three different African countries. Prof. Mohamad Abou El-Nasr received the year 2011 award and attended the ceremony and that was held in November in Nairobi, Kenya.
