This website has been established to provide comprehensive and detailed information about the program. This information includes programs offered by the program and their detailed curriculum structure, graduates job opportunities in local and international markets, students projects and academic research projects. In addition, we introduce the staff members and facilities including labs and workshops as well as other non-academic extracurricular activities. Moreover, the website provides you with an academic calendar for all activities and special events featured throughout the current academic year. Vision


The vision of Energy program is to provide a high quality energy engineering education to graduate engineers capable of designing Photovoltaic, Renewable Energy and Wind Energy Technology.

Mission


To prepare leaders for Energy industries, academia, governmental organization and society whose vision are based on fundamental knowledge, analytical methods, technical skills, creativity, ethics and who are actively  participating in on-going professional development opportunities with greater social responsibility toward their communities.

Objectives


1. The student can have the knowledge to understand and deal with conventional energy systems and renewable "wind - solar energy - water power - bio-energy and all other renewable energy sources."
2. The student is able to prepare different designs of conventional and renewable energy systems.
3. The student is able to understand and deal with the public systems of energy, which includes the link between conventional and renewable energy systems, systems planning a regrettable represents a significant challenge for the energy systems in Egypt and the Arab region in the coming years.
4. The student can have the knowledge to understand and deal with the control of conventional and renewable energy systems.
5. A student can have the knowledge to understand and deal with the optimal planning of the use of different fuel systems.
6. The student can understand and deal with the environmental impacts of conventional and renewable energy systems.

Accreditation

The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport is a fully accredited member of both the Association of Arab Universities and the International Association Universities.
The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for its educational processes in September 1999, after following formal quality assurance procedures to maintain the educational quality level received by students.
Undergraduate Programs offered by the College of Engineering and Technology are accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (SCU) according to the decree number 135 dated on August 27, 1996 and renewed according to the decrees number 3 dated on February, 5, 2002 and number 118 dated on July, 10, 2007.
Postgraduate Programs offered by the College of Engineering and Technology are accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (SCU) according to the decree number 30 dated on April 28, 2001 and renewed according to the decrees number 70 and 79 dated on June, 19, 2006 and number 97 dated July, 24, 2006.The Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) now named the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) accredited the undergraduate program of Computer Engineering, the undergraduate program of Electrical and Control Engineering, and the undergraduate program of Electronics and Communications Engineering on April, 27, 2005.

Background


Today’s technology harnesses electricity from the wind or the sun and heats homes through the ground. The Energy Engineering major interweaves the fundamental of classic and modern physics, chemistry, and mathematics with the energy engineering applications. Consequently, AASTMT College aims to serve students interested in Photovoltaics, Renewable Energy and Wind Energy Technology by offering certificates in these areas along with inter-disciplinary course offerings in related technical programs. The program incorporates courses from many departments on campus to create a discipline that is rigorously based in science, mathematics, and engineering, while addressing a wide variety of environmental issues.
