Gas Detection and Coined Space Awareness

Aims & Objectives:

This course teaches personnel on how identify a confined space, and how to carry out testing and evaluate potential hazards, prior to entering any confined space.

Contents:

  • Rig orientation.
  • Stability and construction.
  • Emergency duties and communications.
  • Transit operations.
  • Seamanship.
  • Handling and stowage of supplies, including dangerous goods.
  • Safe working practices.
  • Regulatory and certification requirements.
  • Emergency first aid
  • Anchor handling.

Who Should Attend:

       It is recommended for those who plan entry into confined spaces, supervise others, or do work in confined spaces themselves.  Content can be tailored to meet the needs of a particular group.

       3 Days
