Description

This course provides students with knowledge of historical and theoretical survey of the evolution of human rights. It attempts to define health and health care in the context of human rights theory and practice. The course gives an overview of the ethical and human rights implications of recent advances in the life and biomedical sciences from multiple religious and cultural perspectives. The course also discusses international and regional human rights law and specialized topics include corporate social responsibility, children and women’s human rights.
