International Certificates

Special Bases Relative to Foreign Certificates Equivalencies

First: International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
  • Number of years should not be less than 12 academic years (or spending three years after passing Preparatory School Certificate).
  • Prerequisites qualifying curriculum (courses) of study programs for joining varied specializations.
  • Passing obligatory subjects (Arabic, Religion & national education) of the Ministry of Education.
College of Engineering/ College of Computing / College of Maritime 
  • Mandatory Courses

English Language or English Literature /Chemistry /Physics / Mathematics and AS Level Mathematics

  • Elective Courses
    Four "O" Level courses.
  • For College of Computing and Information Technology, As Biology can be accepted instead of As Math.
College of Management and Technology/ College of International Transport /College of Language and Communication
  • Mandatory Courses:
    English Language, or English Literature , Mathematics.
  • Elective Courses:
    Six "O" Level courses.
Requested grades for IGCSE Courses
Minimum grade "C" for "O" Level and minimum Grade "D" for AS & A Level.
Second: American Diploma

That the student has passed successfully in 8 courses, & agreeably with the qualifying subjects for each faculty, provided that courses are passed in the 12th grade, & given that the subject weigh is not less than one credit. The student can complete some of the 8 subjects of the 11th grade with a maximum of 3 subjects only.

Passing of the SAT1 examination with a minimum score of 1320 points.

Concerning students interested in joining College of Engineering, College of Mritime Transport and College of Computing, a provision of passing the SAT2 with a minimum score of 1000 points in two subjects one of which is Mathematics and the other is Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.

Complete 3 years studying in the American Diploma (10, 11, 12)

  • Passing obligatory subjects (Arabic, Religion & national education) of the Ministry of Education.
Third: Other Foreign Secondary Certificates

(International Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, German Certificates, etc.)

  • A numerical evaluation is done according to rules of evaluation of The Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
  • Passing each course in these certificate (with minimum 50%).
