The course aims at increasing learners'' confidence in the use of the English language by equipping them with the required skills to communicate orally in English in any academic setting. By the end of this course, students should be able to present information they have heard or read, express and support opinions and arguments and ask questions and interact with teachers and classmates.
 
English for Academic Reading
 
The main aim of this course is to increase learners'' confidence in the use of the English language by equipping them with the required skills to understand English written texts in any academic setting. By the end of the course students should be able to expand their vocabulary, expand their reading speed and identify the major and minor details in academic reading passages.
 
English for Academic Writing
 
The course is designed to increase learners'' confidence in the use of the English language by equipping them with the required skills to communicate in writing in any academic setting. By the end of this course, students should know how to write effective paragraphs, essays, and academic reports, develop awareness of different kinds of writing patterns and summarize and paraphrase documents and academic materials.
