The General Assembly of the European Board for Logistics (ECBL) affiliated to European Logistics Association (ELA) confirms hereby that Arab Academy Science, Technology and Maritime Transport has been accepted as the National Certification Centre for the territory of Egypt. The European Logistics Association ELA, is a federation of 30 national organisations, covering almost every country in Central and Western Europe. Its goal is to provide a forum for networking and promotion of the logistics and supply chain profession through developing, promoting, supporting and ensuring the quality of the performance of personnel in the transport and logistics sector. Egypt represented by Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport is the second MENA country after Morocco who join the ELA-European logistics association as a fully fledged member. An ELA certificate recognises competences and validates logisticians’ experience at different levels. There are three levels for providing ELA certificate • For supervisors in an operational role and for first line managers - EJLog • For managers or consultants planning, coordinating and controlling different parts of the logistics network - ESLog • For senior managers, senior consultants or directors with considerable experience in logistics management - EMLog The exams are conducted three times per year in English and based on multiple choice, short essay questions and case studies. All answers will be sent to Head office of ELA in Brussels.
