Major achievements

AASTMT has joined the ISO Award for Higher Education in Standardization, for two consecutive events in 2007 and 2009, with the educational programs provided by PQI in this context, and was shortlisted among the six finalists’ educational institutes from all over the world.

Designing and conducting the environmental Management System Program “funded by BADEA (Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa) which comprised of 22 delegates from different African countries. It aimed towards enhancing the awareness of delegates from the African continent on the environmental issues throughout the advanced and practical implementation of the ISO 14000 systems.

According to the convention concluded between the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality “EOS” on one side and the AASTMT represented by PQI on the other side, PQI has been assigned for complete  management of the National Quality institute (NQI) for three consecutive years. NQI was established to become the National Egyptian House of Quality and Expertise, responsible for the development and improvement of the quality concepts upheld in the Egyptian society throughout all its sectors. Its ultimate is aim to achieve and sustain public of Quality awareness as well as qualifying individuals and institutions, according to the National Quality Plan.

PQI has successfully managed and organized the Educational Reform Program (ERP) funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The ERP provides support to the Egyptian government to bring enhanced quality of the educational system and to put forth the applicability of standards, focusing on improving systems, policies, criteria, better teaching practices, improved school management and enhanced governance through community participation.

Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with e-TQM collage in Dubai, to facilitate Academic cooperation between both parties to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and qualification of individuals concerning Quality and Standardization related matters in the Arab Region.

Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with “GCC Standardization Organization” for the Gulf Cooperation Council for mutual cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of Training, Auditing and applying Management system. As well as benefiting of the PQI experts in establishing centers specialized in Standardization and Quality in the Gulf Countries.

PQI offers consultancy services to organizations seeking to establish quality systems through adopting standards within their frame of work. Moreover, the Institute undertakes productivity improvement projects, and manages downsizing and privatizing initiatives. Our pre-qualification in this domain contains a long list of companies in Egypt and the Arab world, in various sectors of manufacturing and service industries.

With its site on public awareness, PQI organizes conferences covering a variety of topics on Quality and Standardization in industry and service aiming for a radical development in the region. Some of conferences organized by PQI “Total Quality and Industry modernization”, “Quality and Standardization in Education”, “Total Quality Management in Service Industry” and in October 2009, PQI hosted the “International Conference for Productivity and Quality Research."
