It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the electronic window of Port Training Institute which is one of the most prestigious and professional institutes on the global, regional, and local level.
Port Training Institute was established on the 26th of June 1982, its main goal was to upgrade maritime and port community personnel capacity in Egypt and the neighboring African and Arab Countries as well, this is achieved through the refining of port staff technical skills, which allows them to have a competitive edge and helps them reach the required merits while keeping pace with the mandatory international criteria for seaports personnel at the same time.
Port Training Institute offers a variety of training programs which include Maritime, Administrative, English, Computer and IT Programs, in order to meet the needs of port community and oil companies, this is in addition to port equipment, cranes and truck simulators programs, as PTI owns the latest truck and crane simulators in the world, which was opened by his Excellency the Minister of Transport on the 17th of March, 2018, furthermore PTI has a distinguished ion of professionals in all relevant disciplines.
Seeking to reach global standards, be up to date with the latest developments and innovations in this field, and contributing to the implantation of the national plan for developing, administer, and achieving sustainable development in the Egyptian ports and logistics areas, Port Training Institute is keen to sign a number of partnership agreements with specialized international universities, institutes, and grand ports to implement special programs (Diplomas) for example:
- Marseille-Fos Port Authority, France.
- Valencia Port Foundation, Spain.
- Antwerp Port Training Center, Belgium.
- University of Genoa, Italy.
Port Training Institute is also a member of a numerous International Organizations like:
- International Labor Organization (ILO).
- International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH).
- International Association for Hydro-Environmental Engineering and Research (IAHR).
