Intercultural Communication 7th Week Assessment Tasks – Communication Technology Advancements: Past, Present, and Future
In alignment with the CLC educational strategic plan reinforced by Professor Hanan Youssef, the college Dean, students continuously receive a balanced instructional input premised on theory and practice. CLC affords state-of-the-art knowledge and skills that students are expected to equip themselves with, in several integrated language and media courses. In response to the educatiobal strategies of CLC as well as the measures taken against the spread of COVID-19, Professor Hanan Youssef, the college Dean, and ambassador Youssef El Sharkawy assigned students an online research-based assessment task in the Intercultural Communication course they deliver. Students produced original research-based assignments on the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic under the motto “Partners in Humanity”. In their assessment tasks, students produced short videos focusing attention on how the different nations across the group take different measures against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting in the process the mutual values of humanity, human rights, and tolerance in response to this disease. In response to the several contingency scenarios and decisive actions to limit the spread of COVID-19, catch phrases like “Stay home, be safe” that circulated across the globe among nations of different colors, ethinicities, and races were recurrent in the media materials produced. They consulted different valuable timely resources and organizations under the supervision of the collge Dean. The 7th week assessment plan aligns with declarations from the AASTMT Supreme Council of Education as all classes are moving online for the remainder of the spring semester.
