IMO General Assembly Meetings

The President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) - H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail will participate in the meetings of the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), as a representative of the League of Arab states to support the Arab candidates for 2012 – 2013 elections of IMO Council which will be held during the General Assembly meetings that held once every two years at IMO headquarters in London.
The meetings will start on Monday 21- 11- 2011. As for IMO Council that composed of 40 member states out of 170 member states of IMO, It is worth mentioning that it's nominated 5 Arab states as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Kuwait and Oman for the membership of IMO Board of Directors.
