Spanish 2 12th Week Assessment Tasks – CLCians Excel in Putting Recipes into Practice
In alignment with the CLC educational strategic plan reinforced by Professor Hanan Youssef, the college Dean, students continuously receive a balanced instructional input premised on theory and practice. CLC affords state-of-the-art knowledge and skills that students are expected to equip themselves with, in several integrated language and media courses. In response to the educational strategies of CLC as well as the measures taken against the spread of COVID-19, Dr. Reham Ezzat assigned students an online research-based assessment task in the Spanish 2 course she delivers to Term 4 students. For their assessment tasks, students created easy recipes of omelette and fried chicken breasts in Arabic then translated the recipes to Spanish with the help of online dictionaries and the study materials provided on Moodle. Voice over was added to the recipes in Spanish under the supervision of Dr Reham Ezzat. Students have exerted a great effort mastering the vocabulary of the ingredients related to the recipe, created simple sentences expressing the steps to follow for making the meal, and captured lively shots of the recipe while in progress. One prominent recipe was created by Nadine El Mansy and Nada El Mansy.
