AASTMT President Participation in "The Celebration of The Arabic Language Week"
Within the celebration of Arabic Language International Day on December 18 every year, H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) participated in the celebration of the Arabic Language Day at Expo 2020 Dubai that was held under the auspices and in the presence of H.E Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab States, on Saturday 18- 12 -2021, in the presence of H.E Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi - UAE Minister of Culture and Youth, H.E Ambassador Hossam Zaki - Assistant Secretary General of the league of Arab state, H.E Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh - Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States, and a number of Ambassadors of the League of Arab States and the Arab countries, in addition to a group of AASTMT Officials.
Moreover, AASTMT President participated in the launching of the "Speak Arabic" presidential initiative, which was launched by the Egyptian Pavilion at "Expo 2020 Dubai", at the invitation of H.E Ambassador Nabila Makram - Minister of State for Migration and Egyptian Expatriates` Affairs, and that was held in the presence of H.E Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi - Speaker of the Arab Parliament, H.E Dr. Maitha Bint Salem Al Shamsi - UAE Minister of State, Ms. Dalia Ibrahim - CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House. The initiative is part of the Egyptian Ministry of Immigration “Speak Arabic” initiative in October 2019, which officially entered into force in October 2020, and then received the generous patronage of H.E President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi - President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, aiming to instill the Egyptian identity and preserve the traditions, principles and values of the Arabic language.
