3rd Place for AASTMT students in the International MATE ROV Competition for robotic submarines

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) extends his sincere congratulations to AASTMT students for winning the third place in the final qualifiers for the International MATE ROV Competition which was held from 22 - 24 June 2023 in Colorado - USA, with the participation of 63 teams from 12 countries with the support of the US National Science Foundation and the Marine Technology Society.
It's worth noting that MATE ROV Competition is an underwater robotics (aka remotely operated vehicle or ROV) challenge that engages a global community of learners each year. This year, the MATE ROV Competition is highlighting the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and inspiring our global community to embrace environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts to create a sustainable future on our ocean planet.
