"Specialized Laboratories of Research on Animals" at AASTMT College of Pharmacy
Within the achievements of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and the prosperity of its educational process, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President opened AASTMT Specialized Laboratories of Research on Laboratory Animals, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus College of Pharmacy. The opening ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Onsi Al-Shafi - Head of Alexandria Pharmacists Syndicate, and H.E. Prof. Dr. Amr Abbasi - Director of Ayadi Al-Mustaqbal Hospital for Oncology, and AASTMT Officials.
It's worth to mention that AASTMT Specialized Laboratories is considered to be a new addition to AASTMT achievements, as it provides the opportunity for AASTMT pharmacy students and medical sector researchers to conduct specialized experiments, in addition to the possibility of studying the effects of various medicines and treatments as to determine their safety before testing them on humans. Moreover, the laboratories will allow scientists to study the basic mechanisms of diseases and to test the potential interactions to develop effective treatments for diseases, with full commitment and control over the application of ethics and rules for using animals in scientific research.
