AASTMT Participation in United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28)

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is honored to participate in the activities of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) that is taking place in Dubai - United Arab Emirates, during the period from 30 November until 12 December 2023. 

Through the Arab League Pavilion in the Blue Zone, AASTMT is organizing a number of specialized technical sessions covering several topics which will be discussed throughout the conference on Wednesday 6- 12- 2023, Saturday 9- 12- 2023, and Sunday 10- 12- 2023.

It’s worth to mention that more than 70,000 delegates are expected to attend COP28, including the member states (or Parties) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Business leaders, young people, climate scientists, journalists, and various other experts and stakeholders are also among the participants. As UN Climate Change conferences (or COPs) take place every year, and are the world’s only multilateral decision-making forum on climate change with almost complete membership of every country in the world.
