This statement was made during the meeting of the Council for Community Service and Environmental Development held on the morning of September 18, 2023, in the meeting hall of the Faculty of Engineering.

The council discussed the report presented by Dr. Essam Wahba, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research, regarding the university's preparedness to participate in the Green Metric World Ranking. The report outlined the main axes of this ranking, which include infrastructure, energy, climate change, waste management, water, transportation, education, and scientific research.

Additionally, the council reviewed the report presented by Dr. Walid Abdel Azim, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service and Environmental Development, concerning the integrated strategy for rainwater management within the Alexandria Governorate. The report highlighted the factors contributing to increased risks caused by rainfall, presented the project's executive status, and proposed locations for implementation.

Dr. Said Allam commended the university for signing several cooperation protocols during the current period.
