Visit from Jabro Port Terminal - Masaieed Port / State of Qatar to Port Training Institute
On Sunday, January 21, 2024. Port Training Institute welcomed Captain Kamal Al-Din Bashir, the Operations Manager at Jabro Port Terminal, a specialized terminal for bulk cargo materials in Masaieed Port, Qatar.
Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute, along with institute officials, received the guest. They escorted him to the meeting hall, where a documentary film about the institute and its capabilities was presented. Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy then delivered a welcoming speech, introducing Captain Kamal Al-Din Bashir and presenting the institute's vision for training and preparing youth for the external job market. He also outlined the international agenda of programs and diplomas offered in collaboration with major international institutions.
Discussions during the visit covered areas of collaboration between the terminal and the institute in the field of training and education. Captain Kamal Al-Din Bashir was taken on a tour to inspect various labs, workshops, and the simulator complex for port equipment.
Captain Bashir praised the institute's facilities and its progress, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships. This aligns with Port Training Institute's commitment to establishing strong collaborations with various stations to expand its training services for the qualification and training of personnel in the ports and maritime transport sector.
