Port Training Institute conducts a workshop via live broadcast (zoom) entitled The Era of Logistics Corridors- the Impact of the Suez Canal Development on Global Trade.
As part of its ongoing role in enhancing the performance of port workers through training and education, the institute held a workshop this morning, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, under the title 'The Era of Logistics Corridors : The Impact of the Suez Canal Development on Global Trade.
The workshop was attended by Professor. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute, and a distinguished group of experts from the Suez Canal Authority in Egypt, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport - Port Training Institute, Escola Europea ,Italy, and the World Association for Waterborne Transport (PIANC). The workshop highlighted the importance of logistics corridors, key features of the Suez Canal development projects, and their effective impact on global transportation chains. It also introduced modern concepts of logistics corridors and their role in integrating supply chains, as well as identifying the main factors affecting the quality of logistics corridor performance. Best practices for integrated logistics corridors were also presented. This event was attended by a group of Egyptian and Arab port leaders via live broadcast, as the institute is committed to organizing events that contribute to supporting and enhancing the educational and training levels of port workers and the maritime transport sector."
