The digital entrepreneurship program for the tourism sector is a program supported by the " assistance for trade initiative for Arab countries, and aims to create and promote job opportunities and innovation in the tourism sector in the Arab region.this initiative comes as a result of ongoing cooperation between the Arab Tourism Organization (ATO) and the entrepreneurship center of the Arab Academy in the region. Based on the experience and success story gained by the “Mashreq tourism" incubator, the first of its kind in the Arab region in cooperation between the Arab Academy for science and technology and the pioneers 2030 project at the Egyptian Ministry of planning and with the support of the Arab Tourism Organization.
The aim of this initiative is to create a large and sustainable base of developers and innovators in digital solutions that focus on the tourism sector and the creation and empowerment of ecosystems in the Arab region.specifically, the initiative is interested in startups that develop digital solutions to protect the travel and tourism industry in the future and help tourism companies thrive amid the challenges created by the covid-19 pandemic.
