The Youth Leaders Forum (YLF)
In light of the College of Language and Communication’s reiteration of putting theory into practice across all courses in the different departments it hosts, , Prof. Hanan Youssef, Dean of the College, continuously urges students to participate in the most prominent societal, artistic, and cultural activities to connect the courses with practical application and understanding. In this regard, CLCians took part in The Youth Leaders Forum (YLF). The delegation of students participated in the Youth Media Leaders' Forum, the second edition under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which began today, Saturday, February 25 to February 28, 2023 in the framework of the exchange of experiences and visions and the successful experiences among the young media leaders in the Arab homeland. YLF participants (Peer Delegates) and (Peer Leaders) build leadership skills and leave better prepared for future employment, higher education, and independent living. Participants attend a multi-day conference and engage in both small and large group discussions and workshops on topics such as: self-advocacy, disability pride, assistive technology, independent living, employment skills, career exploration, higher education, legislative advocacy, the Disability Rights Movement, and community participation.
