PYTHAGORAS ERASMUS+ project Steering Committee meeting at AASTMT in Cairo, Egypt

The PYTHAGORAS project, part of the ERASMUS+ initiative, recently held two significant events. The first was its inaugural physical Steering Committee meeting, convened at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Cairo, Egypt, on February 25, 2024. This project is a collaborative effort involving six academic institutions: The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Ain Shams University in Egypt; University of Cyprus in Cyprus; Sapienza University of Rome; University of Manouba; and University of Sfax in Tunisia. Additionally, two institutes, the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt and Centre de Calcul El-Khawarizmi in Tunisia, are part of this consortium.

Following this, PYTHAGORAS hosted its second workshop, "Numerical Tools and Advanced Digital Technologies for Industry and Academia," on February 26, 2024. This hybrid event focused on leveraging state-of-the-art technologies for sustainable development, drawing experts, researchers, and students from diverse disciplines. The workshop featured discussions on a wide range of topics, including advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, sustainable agricultural technologies, the synergy of education with the Sustainable Development Goals, optimizing energy systems, the use of reinforcement learning in aerial networking, and advancements in analytical chemistry using mass spectrometry. One of the key outcomes of this workshop was the decision to create an English-language publication on analytical chemical detection methods, underscoring the practical applications of these advanced technologies in fostering sustainable development.
