Biography

  • Capt. Ahmed Mohy
    Head of Quality Assurance Unit - Regional Maritime Security Institute (RMSI) – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)

    Capt. Ahmed Mohy is a maritime security expert and maritime lecturer. He is currently Head of Quality Assurance Unit of Regional Maritime Security Institute (RMSI), and maritime lecturer at College of Maritime Transport & Technology, AASTMT. He lectures security and maritime courses approved by the International Maritime Organization and participates in the team assessing ships/ ports and port facilities in Egypt and developing their security plans. The Egyptian Naval Forces delegated him to attend the meeting of the IMO as he has previously worked as a Naval Officer in Egyptian Naval Forces.

    Capt. Ahmed Mohy is currently in progress for Doctorate of Maritime Transport Technology in Maritime Safety, Security and Environmental Protection from AASTMT. He earned his M.Sc. in International Transport & Logistics from AASTMT and his B.Sc. degree in Naval Science, from Egyptian Naval College. In addition, Capt. Ahmed Mohy has earned his Master Mariner (Certificate of Competency).

    Capt. Ahmed Mohy has participated in several academic activities, seminars, workshops, and chosen to be a member of the GMP-BOK permanent Committee for the AASTMT, and has published research papers in the maritime field.
