Nanotechnology and Architecture: An Optimized Design Process Model (ODPM)
This paper studies the relationship between nanotechnology and the architectural design process, aiming to explore the methods by which nanotechnology could be used starting from the earlier stages of the architectural design process rather than just in the final stages, hence incorporating nanotechnology in the concept synthesis and development activities occurring in the preliminary stages of design, and accordingly developing an unrestrictive and efficient design model that could allow for more satisfactory design solutions, the optimization of the whole design process, and also the technological advancement in the field of Nanoscience.
