Dr Mahmoud Barakat is a Lecturer at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, College of International Transport and Logistics, International Trade Department. He obtained his PhD from Huddersfield University Business School. He participated in a number of feasibility studies, in addition to some European Union projects. Dr. Mahmoud worked in training programs for organizations and institutions such as Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), Genève and, The International road union (IRU), Switzerland. He also participated in a number of consultancy projects in the area of logistics and operations management. Dr. Mahmoud helped in rebranding and restructuring of operations activities for several companies in Egypt to cope with the dynamic market conditions.
