Hala F. Labib is currently an associate professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the college of pharmacy in AAST, Alamein, Egypt. Before that, she was an assistant professor in the same department and institute. She obtained BSc in pharmaceutical science (Distinction with honors grading, third topper and among the top 1% of her class) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Afterwards, she received MSc followed by PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Alexandria University. Her pedagogical experience involved teaching medicinal, organic and forensic chemistry, in addition to drug design courses for both undergraduate and graduate students in the past 10 years in 3 universities. She was among the team leaders that helped the faculty of pharmacy at Pharous university to be accredited by The National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education “NAQAAE”. Also, she supervised a number of graduate students, of which 1 MSc student had already graduated. Her research profile involved collaboration with local and international researchers and principle investigators (From Egypt, Lebanon, New Zealand, Italy, USA and Australia). She co-authored several publications that were published in the period of 2018 till 2022 in Q1-ISI Clarivate journals for e.g., European Journal of medicinal chemistry, Microchemical Journal, Journal of enzyme inhibition and medicinal chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, etc…. Her research focuses on creating new analytical techniques for examining biologically active compounds, such as drugs. Besides, her current research activities include the development of multi-targeting ligands for the treatment of multifaceted disorders such as inflammation, cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer's.
