Reham Farouk Fathy Elshazly

biography

Reham El Shazly is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at the College of Language and Communication in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Cairo. She did her PhD in Applied Linguistics and Education at Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. Her research focuses on several areas of applied linguistics, including social semiotics, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics, cognitive linguistics, virtual reality and games studies, research in pedagogy and foreign language acquisition, CALL, as well as interdisciplinary research work in social communication. She is a certified IELTS speaking/writing examiner with a proven track record.
